Terms of Service for GET LOST TRAVEL LLC

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF SERVICE CAREFULLY. BY MAKING A BOOKING WITH GET LOST TRAVEL LLC, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET FORTH BELOW.

1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to GET LOST TRAVEL LLC ("we," "us," "our", "GET LOST TRAVEL", "GET LOST TRAVEL LLC"). We specialize in coordinating and booking group travel arrangements. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the relationship between you ("the client," "you," "your") and GET LOST TRAVEL LLC for all travel services and bookings provided. By making a deposit or payment for a trip, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. The lead booker for a group accepts these terms on behalf of all individuals included in the booking.


2. Our Services

We act as an intermediary to arrange travel services, including but not limited to, accommodation, transportation, tours, and activities ("Travel Services") provided by third-party suppliers such as hotels, airlines, and tour operators ("Suppliers"). Our service is to research, plan, and book these Travel Services on your behalf. GET LOST TRAVEL LLC does not possess any specialized knowledge regarding the financial status of its supplier. The goods and services provided by the supplier are governed by the supplier’s own terms and conditions, including liability waivers, as well as applicable local laws and regulations.


3. Booking, Payments, and Pricing

a. Quotes: All quotes are provided in USD and are subject to availability and price changes from Suppliers until a booking is confirmed. Quotes are valid for the period stated on the quote.

Prices are determined by tariffs, government fees, exchange rates, and supplier rates in effect at the time our trip itineraries are initially published. In rare instances, it may be necessary for us to add surcharges if prices rise substantially due to inflation, increased service costs, fluctuations in foreign exchange rates, or other factors. These surcharges may be applied at any point before the final payment.

We reserve the right to modify and correct errors in quoted prices at any time prior to your trip confirmation. We will notify you of any known errors and provide the applicable price in effect at the time of booking.

b. Deposits: A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your group's booking. The deposit amount will be specified in your quote. Your booking is not confirmed until we receive the required deposit and you have received a written confirmation from us.

c. Final Payment: The final balance is due no later than 90 days prior to the departure date. If the final payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking, and cancellation fees will apply as outlined in Section 4.

d. Payment Methods: We accept payments via Credit Card and Bank Transfer. Credit card payments may be subject to a processing fee.

e. Price Changes: Prices are subject to change due to factors beyond our control, such as fluctuations in currency exchange rates, fuel surcharges, or government-imposed taxes and fees. We will notify you of any price increases as soon as possible. More information below.


4. Cancellations & Refunds

a. Cancellation by You: All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. The following cancellation fees apply, calculated from the date we receive your written notification:

  • 91 days or more days before departure:  If the full trip price was paid, you are eligible for a full refund minus the deposit cost. Deposit is non-refundable but can be transferred to another trip. 
  • 90-31 days before departure:  You may choose between two options. Full cost of trip is able to be transferred to another trip OR be refunded 50% of cost of the trip after deposit is subtracted.
  • 30 days or less before departure:  No refund possible.

b. Cancellation by Us: GET LOST TRAVEL reserves the right to cancel, modify, or postpone a trip without prior notice at any time before departure or after the trip has started, for reasons related to traveler safety, comfort, the viability of the planned itinerary, or due to Force Majeure events. GET LOST TRAVEL will not be responsible for deposits, payments, incidental expenses, policies, or penalties for services not included in the trip price, such as airline tickets, separate hotel reservations, or other arrangements handled independently by participants. Please consult your travel insurance policy for details on coverage for such expenses.

In cases where a trip is canceled due to reasons within GET LOST TRAVEL’s control (excluding Force Majeure), options available to you include:

- A travel credit equal to the amount paid for the trip.

- A full refund of the amount paid for the trip.

If a trip is canceled due to a Force Majeure event, options include:

- A travel credit equal to the amount paid minus any unrecoverable costs and monies, which may include deposits forwarded to suppliers, third-party cancellation penalties, and standard planning fees.

- A travel credit equal to the trip deposit and a refund of the remaining balance paid, minus any unrecoverable costs and monies. We are not responsible for any incidental expenses you may have incurred as a result of your booking, such as visas, vaccinations, or non-refundable flights.

By booking, you acknowledge that your trip is purchased in US Dollars. Any refunds or credits issued after purchase will be in US Dollars, and GET LOST TRAVEL is not responsible for fluctuation in exchange rates. The dollar amount of your payment and refund will remain the same.

If a cancellation occurs after the trip has begun, the same options will be offered on a pro-rata basis.

You understand that this type of travel requires flexibility. The itinerary provided is representative of the activities planned but is not guaranteed. GET LOST TRAVEL may make reasonable changes to the route, schedule, accommodations, amenities, and transportation due to availability, local circumstances, weather, or other unforeseen factors beyond its control.

While rare, GET LOST TRAVEL reserves the right to impose surcharges up to 15 days before departure in cases of significant exchange rate fluctuations, increases in transportation costs, local operator charges, taxes, or government actions. GET LOST TRAVEL will cover up to 2% of the trip cost, with the traveler responsible for the remaining amount. If surcharges exceed 10% of the trip price, you may cancel within 7 days of notification for a full refund, minus unrecoverable costs. Surcharges may be applied to credit card purchases.

GET LOST TRAVEL shall not be considered in breach of this agreement or liable for delays, cancellations, or modifications resulting from the circumstances described above.


5. Changes to Your Booking

a. Changes by You: If you wish to make changes to your booking after it has been confirmed, you must notify us in writing. We will do our best to accommodate your request, but we cannot guarantee that changes can be made. Any changes may be subject to additional costs from Suppliers.  

b. Changes by Us: While we will endeavor to operate all trips as advertised, we reserve the right to make changes to the itinerary or other arrangements due to local conditions, operational needs, or other unforeseen circumstances. We will provide you with notice of any significant changes as soon as possible. 


6. Traveler Responsibilities

a. Travel Documents: You are responsible for ensuring that you and all members of your group have valid passports, visas, and any other required travel documents. Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond your return date.

b. Health & Vaccinations: You are responsible for checking and meeting all health and vaccination requirements for your destination. We recommend consulting with your doctor or a travel clinic.

c. Travel Insurance: We require that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance. You will be asked to prove possession of insurance two weeks prior to the departure date. This insurance should cover, at a minimum, trip cancellation or interruption, medical expenses, emergency evacuation, and baggage loss. You are responsible for understanding the terms of your insurance policy.

d. Conduct: You agree to accept the authority and decisions of our employees, tour leaders, and Suppliers' agents while on your trip. We reserve the right to remove any traveler from a trip who displays disruptive or dangerous behavior, without any right to a refund. Specifics of the type of behavior that will seize our services to you is outlined in our Traveler’s Pledge. 

GET LOST TRAVEL trips are led by a trip leader. The trip leader’s decisions are final on all matters that may impact the safety or well-being of any participant. If you do not adhere to a trip leader’s instructions or interfere with the safety or mobility of the group, the trip leader may require you to leave the trip immediately without any refund. We also reserve the right to refuse your participation in future trips, even if already booked. Additionally, you agree to comply with the laws, customs, foreign exchange regulations, and drug regulations of all countries visited, as well as follow our responsible travel guidelines.


7. Health & Well-being

By booking, you confirm that you have no medical conditions that could pose a risk or affect others’ enjoyment. GET LOST TRAVEL cannot guarantee medical facilities in remote regions, so you should consult your doctor before traveling and bring necessary medications. Inform us of any special needs; we may require a medical certificate, but cannot guarantee all dietary restrictions will be accommodated. You consent to emergency first aid and understand you are responsible for any medical costs incurred. We require obtaining comprehensive travel insurance. Our partners may conduct health screenings and refuse travel to symptomatic individuals, and they or authorities may quarantine travelers if needed. GET LOST TRAVEL is not responsible for any consequences brought upon by your health or well-being, and you are not entitled to a refund in the case where this is disruptive to your trip or to the trip. We reserve the right to deny or remove any participant if their presence or behavior is deemed unsafe or disruptive to the group.


8. Limitation of Liability

GET LOST TRAVEL LLC acts only as an agent for the Suppliers of Travel Services. We assume no liability for any injury, damage, death, loss, accident, or delay due to any act or omission of any Supplier. We are not responsible for any loss or damage arising from events of force majeure, including but not limited to, war, terrorism, extreme weather events, disease, civil unrest, or government restrictions.

Our maximum liability, for any reason whatsoever, will be limited to the amount paid to us for the Travel Services.


9. Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Pennsylvania, USA. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.


10. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. The version of the Terms that will apply to your booking is the one available on our website at the time you make your deposit.


11. Image Release And Social Media  

You agree that GET LOST TRAVEL may use, reuse, link to, repost, and reproduce any images, photos, videos, or written content (such as blog posts or articles) that you send us, or that are taken by our guides, trip leaders, or other travelers of you individually or in a group, or that you post online—in any media format, including print, electronic, or internet, at no charge and without your right to review, for the purpose of promoting and publicizing our travel services worldwide. We will make efforts to provide attribution. If you do not wish to grant this specific right to GET LOST TRAVEL, you must notify us in writing before your trip begins and explicitly opt out of the Images Release. Please note that opting out may result in the cancellation of your booking.


12. Refusal of Service

GET LOST TRAVEL reserves the right to refuse service to any traveler or prospective client at any time, for any lawful reason, at its sole discretion.
